Things are hopping in Key Largo this weekend. Not only are we being visited by Vice Presiden’t Biden and his entourage but we have thousands of visitors’ here for the Miami Boatshow and Coconut Grove Art Show two of the year’s largest exhibition’s in the Miami area.

In the meantime at Coral Shores High School we have the Miami Acting Company performing Chicago Friday and Saturday at 8 PM.

The Keys Player’s are performing at the Key Largo Lion’s Club Friday and Saturday also in a musical Named BINGO. Sounds like fun since you get to play BINGO during the show. What will they think up next?

The Florida Keys Art Guild is having their annual Art Festival this weekend at Waldorf Plasa MM100 Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 5  pm.

On the concert side Sarina Zhang, Piano & Cello with Adria Ye, Piano are in concert at Island Community Church February 19,2011 at 8pm and an annual favorite Pops in the Park, a free outdoor band concert will be held at Founder’s Park Saturday at 4:00pm.

So there is plenty for everyone to do all you have to do is come visit and while your here maybe you’d like to learn more about Keys Real Estate. I am always available to help.

April 23 – May 2nd is an exciting time in the Upper Florida Keys known as the Key Largo  Conch Republic Days celebrating the seceding  of the Florida Keys from the United States and becoming the Conch Republic. This was the result of the United States Border Guard setting up a road block in 1982 to inspect all cars for narcotics and illegal immigrants causing one of the largest traffic jams in Keys history. There will be many events scheduled at different venues around the Keys starting with the Re-Enactment of the Proclamation of Secession at Snappers Resturant April 23 at 3:00pm. One of the  exciting and different  events will be the Extreme Underwater Ironing World Record Attempt for the Guiness Book of Records. Interested in participating check with any Upper Keys dive shop. Check my blog each day for additional updates  of more of these great Conch Republic events.

Today besides being a beautiful one in the Fabulous Florida Keys is my grandaughters birthday. While out in California last week attending a real estate educational conference, I received a pin that I now wear daily. It says “Tell Me Something Good.” My good news is that the market here in the Florida Keys is starting to see some activity. There have been a lot more showings, several pendings and a greater number of closings. People realize that as the market shifts there will be a renewed interest in the land of sun and fun and everyone wants a chance at making a good investment. I encourage all of you to look at the real estate potential in your communities today. So tell me what is your good news?

Thank you for visiting my new blog – Florida Keys Real Estate News

I™ll be posting new articles regularly that are designed to be of interest to people who wish to learn more about the real estate market in the Florida Keys, as well as information about the Keys in general.
